Due to client agreeing to change in methodology this bid is a reposting with modifications of a previous bid request "Data Clean-Up"

We require a web application to allow us to clean-up contact details in a club related membership system. The client employs a number of area organisers. The organisers recruit 'members'. As members frequently change addresses, employment, etc. our client is embarking on a data-clean up process.

Therefore we require a database application which will allow area organisers access membership data over the internet. Organisers will log into the system and be presented with a grid view of members within their areas. Organisers will be able to scrool through this grid and select records for editing. Organisers will only be able to see records pertaining to members within thier own areas. (an area_code field in the members table will facilitate this restriction) Organisers, (again within their own area) will be able to refine their searches to select individual members based on surname or place of employment.

As members are grouped within areas organisers are only responsible for cleaning up data within their own areas. Thus, the login screen will determine the selection of records based on the area_code. In some instances organisers may have assistants, consequently the 'rights' table can allow more that one user/organiser to deal with the same branch.

Database: MS SQL 2008. Dummy data will be supplied for testing.

Coding:? ASP.NET 3.5.

Tables:

1) Members; This will contain the home and employment details which are to be updated by the area/branch organisers.

mem_id, mem_surname,mem_forename, mem_addl1,mem_addl2, mem_addl3, mem_addl4, mem_addl5, mem_phone, mem_email, workplace_name, wk_addl1, wk_addl2, wk_addl3, wk_addl4, wk_addl5, AREA_CODE, EMP_CODE, dt_updated, updated_by (user_code), update_code

Note: An employer may have one or more work locations. A future cleanup will provide each workplace with a code and thereby allow the use of a workplace dropdown. mem_id and surname cannot be edited. Some addressses may be blank. Edit will fill in blank fields. No addition will be allowed. The update_code will initially be 0, edit Save Button will set it to 2.

2) Employers: emp_code, emp_name, emp_main_address lines L1, L2, L3, L4, L5, emp_note (memo)

3) Users; the login name, password, user_code, access_level, active (Y/N) email and phone no of the user/organiser

access_level can be used to limit edit rights, active implies accout active, inactive, account disabled

4) Login_Log: user_code, date, time

5) Rights: user_code (c6), area_code (C6),access_level (int) (multiple users may use same area_code)

Screens:

1) Login: Name + password returns user_code. returned user_code determines the area_code from 'rights' table. This method will allow more than one organiser to deal with one area (area_code). Login log will track date/time of valid login.

2) MembersGrid with search option. Display all members in an area, or only those for particular employer (within the area), or for via search for specific surname (within the area).

3) Member Edit Screen: Data Entry screen to allow edit of contact details dependent on access_level in 'Rights' table' Edit will require access level of 5. View access level of 0

4) Employer Edit Screen: Select from list box of employers. User/Organiser may alter address and add note via memo.

5) Utilities: Allow client to add organisers/users details to and access rights to users and rights tables

(6) Reports: Print of member details landscape (A4) colums Option to print only members for a specific employment within area

Hope the above gives you a clear picture of what is required.

We would require an approximate timeline, approximate costing, and sample of work you have previously completed. We are willing to pay a bonus for exceptional work. (You may review our rating in respect of this matter.)

All code must be clearly documented. Documentation should be done as the project is being completed and not only after the coding has been finally finished. We cannot overstress the need for clear documentation.

Initially we would require the grid and edit option be completed so that we can check the quality of your work. The application must be capable of being initially tested on a local PC running MS SQL 2008 (Sorry, but we have been burned before.) We would provide a sample of 200+ dummy records with corresponding tables for employer and areas information. Once all elements have been completed YOU will be required to install the app on a temporary test site hosted by planetsmb.

Note: We are interested in building up a long term relationship with the selected bidder as the existing legacy application is likely to be converted from LAN to WAN and the internet.

Future Additional work is likly to include: facility to e-mail to members, facility to create labels (2 * 7). Email either to individual, or organiser's specific area group. Provide for the processing of subscription information.
