Gabriel, The system you're asking for isn't horribly difficult, but it is somewhat time consuming due to the vast number of support features it's going to require (WhoIS, auction back-end, potential merchant gateway if you're going to escrow funds, a huge number of "member" features regarding posting domain specs, added features (whether you're just buying the domain, the website, the hosting services, etc.) and so forth. The process would apply as follows: * Apache / PHP / MySQL foundation under Linux (I'll be hosting it under CentOS for development, but if you have hosting services elsewhere, it should operate under any PHP5/MySQL supported system.) * Three primary access levels would exist (Guest, Member and Admin - Guests would have to apply for membership to make bids or use B-I-N.) * The website itself would be completely template based allowing you to literally re-skin (or change "Themes") virtually on the fly. * The users would have limited requirements in order to use the site (Javascript support being the most common as I doubt you would want anything Flash related in order to keep the site as browser and mobile friendly as possible.)
