Build a social marketplace website

I want a social marketplace style website built with similar (combined) functionality to Facebook and Ebay. The site will need to have auction functionality as well as newsfeed and social media functions, be region specific and allow people to maintain an personal profile.
A brief description of the site would be as follows:
"The website will be a collaborative market place where members can lend and borrow things that they need, rent or sell stuff that they have or post a job that they need completed. I like to think of it as a social market place that connects members with other members in their community and allows them to borrow, lend, rent or sell merchandise and skills of any type. Its not just commerce its much more than that…."
The developer I am looking for will have experience building social network and auction types sites. The developer must have extensive experience with social media platforms, including Facebook and LinkedIn and auction sites such as Ebay and Trademe . Ideally, the developer must be able to build new feeds and user linkages as in Facebook and Linkedin and would be familiar with the sites such as Taskrabbit and borrowmine.net.
The successful freelancer will be developing the website based on skins provided by our graphic designer. These could be developed in Wordpress and then have the newsfeed functionality added by the freelancer or will just be a skin and will require all the functionality added.
This is a rapid deployment project, only developers with demonstrated experience will be considered. I will take over management and routine updates to the web sites once completed. However if successful we will be looking to build an ongoing relationship with the developer which will lead to more work in the future.
