I am setting up a multisite drupal install and am trying to find a way to authenticate the drupal users against a Joomla install. The users are initially created in Joomla which is our main site. Then I will be giving certain users a certain role in Drupal so they could access the site. Mainly each drupal site will only have one user with access to edit it. I need research done if a way already exists, or a module created for drupal to get it to just the Joomla install for the username and password. Currently the two are on the same server, but it needs to be able to work if the drupal install is moved to a separate server. Having Joomla store passwords in a new table as MD5 (without the seed that 1.13 creates) is an option. If you're up to the task, let me know.
