BlueBox

The goal of the work is to produce Internet browser plug-ins/extensions for both Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and Mozilla’s Firefox that scan a web page for phone numbers, visually alter those phones numbers on the web page, and add a control. The user will be able to click the phone number itself and the control will also provide a pull-down list. Upon selection of the phone number or pull-down list item, the plug-in will send the phone number and selection information to a separate, provided DLL.

This plug-in will resemble the Skype phone number plug-in in many ways.

The plug-in will interact with an existing DLL that will be provided as an MS Visual C++ project. This DLL will provide the search algorithm to find the phone numbers given a pointer to the web page text. The DLL will also provide the information for the pull-down list to be displayed by the altered phone numbers.

## Deliverables

The full specification is provided in a pdf file attached. The implementation should work stand-alone without the need for .net or windows addition like .net
