Browser Toolbar project

Here's the requirements of the toolbar I would like developed: 1. Basic Toolbar similar to that of most search engines. Instead of for a particular search engine, I wish to provide a drop-down list of available search engines which can be added to or removed by the end user. Since all major search engines accept GET queries, I would like the Toolbar to have the ability to provide the end user the ability to add/edit/delete search engines from this list via menu driven interaction. Example; Google: [login to view URL] As you can see the query is in the value for "q". [login to view URL] "p" is the query field. In fact, most all search engines work the same way. So having a simple text setup file (.ini or ?), a user could enter the variables required by each engine and keep one variable out for the query that you will associate to in the toolbar. If you have Opera you can see exactly how they do this. It's actually very simple and I have added search engines to my Opera toolbar without any difficulties. 2. Have the ability to include ad blockers (ie, block pop up and pop under) ads. This is a very common feature of all toolbars. 3. Have the ability to block any domain or URL or wildcard filename from being requested. For example; let's say a user visits a Web page that happens to be using IFRAMES, Javasript or any other method to retrieve content off current site. Instead of being downloaded and presented on the page, I instead want this content blocked. Example; But the rest of the page viewed. Basically I want to restrict the downloading of scripts, images, content or etc. Why? I want my users to have the ability to "filter" by domain, URLs or wildcard filenames. I want this to be intercepted by the Toolbar and completely discarded. I want you to provide a Toolbar filter option that allows users to enter their own criteria. Example toolbar using similar feature: [login to view URL] ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables): a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Continued from discription: 4. A simple, but complete install/uninstall program is also necessary. On uninstall everything MUST be completely reversed (ie, removed entirely) 5. Prefer C++, but Visual Basic will be considered For Windows IE users using 98, 98 SE, ME, 2000, NT 4.0, XP & XP Pro. If possible, it would be nice to make sure it works with the AOL browser (I'm sure it's the same thing). I personally am not a Windows user, but am very fluent in most all programming languages and do have Visual Studio .NET. I myself use Linux as my day-to-day environment and code exclusively for this.
