Hi I am an experienced marketing consultant, with 20 years learning curve, I teamwork with a packaging and graphic designer team. I have previously developed body care brands and other personal care products, we usually work from scratch, t means, we can also develop brand name if necessary. I think you need logo, primary and secondary packaging, what we do is creating an initial brand brief (target customers, brand personality, brand value promise including basic attributes and differentiators), and the start working on first stages: 1) Logo: Will present between 7 and 10 logo candidates. If first designs are not approved we will present new alternatives until the customer is satisfied. 2) Primary packaging. Same process. 3) Secondary packaging: Same process. One important thing to consider: Primary packaging will be designed using standard, pre existent designs. We assume you want to work with standard and already existing, in stock, packaging from a standard packaging manufacturer. If we go for new primary packaging designs, the final design cost is higher. I was a manager at a high end beauty store for five years where we created our own recipes/mixed our own Lotions, body scrubs, soaps, bath salts, lip balms, skin toners, face masks, body mists and perfumes. We used bulk natural ingredients when possible and tried to stick to 100% essential oils for a natural and aromatheraputic based product as that is a big selling trend, less risky as far as skin sensitivity and is very easy to blend and work with.
