In Transformer Manufacturing Company also cycle time is a major issue. Hence in this project work is carried out to reduce the cycle time using the lean manufacturing concept. First past data is collected and the timing of each process is obtained. Based on the data processes are identified consuming maximum time and hence contributing maximum to the total cycle time. In this project fixture design and automation approach is used to reduce the cycle time

Reducing Muda is the main goal of lean manufacturing. Customer will always want the value from the product he/she has purchased. Since majority of the transformers are tailor made it is very important to make the value flow the customer and should reach to him at the required time. As a Manufacturing and Systems Graduate from Texas Tech University I have a diverse experience in different lean manufacturing tools.
