Develop iPhone App to display dance formations

I want to create an iPhone app that would provide information about arranging people into formations for performing arts teachers.
The app would allow the teacher (user) to input the number of people to put into the formation. The app would then display the selected number of people, arranged into the formations that we will have provided.
We plan on having several formations, stored as pictures, that we will include to the worker we select for this project.
Once the user is given the formation in picture form, there will be a button that says 'Animate'. When the user pushes this button, the dots on the picture will move. I don't know if I want to include quicktime movies or if there is a better way to do this (And want the worker's help to determine the best course of action)
This is a relatively simple project for now, but we plan on expanding it in the future. Good workers will be rewarded with the contracts to continue development.
