I urgently need proofreading of OCRd ODF document from the original published paperback. It is very simple task. My honest estimation is around 10 hours and I'll like offers in the 2 USD/Hour range. You do not need to it edit it a lot, just small correction from OCR. Just follow our basic guideline and check txt document for following points: 1. Correct erroneous characters, words, punctuation. The result txt file should be equal to the original 2. Remove headers, footers: leave just titles and body text 3. Separate paragraphs with a new empty line I suggest using a good text editor like Notepad++ that includes spell-check enlightenment. NEED TO COMPLETE THIS BOOK IN A WEEK OR SO. ONLY SERIOUS FREELANCERS: I WILL NOT PAY FOR A WORK LESS THAN PERFECT: it's an easy task but requires time and attention to detail. I don't want to spend my time reviewing your work. PLEASE DO YOU OFFER ONLY IF YOU UNDERSTAND THIS. PLEASE DO SUBMIT YOUR QUOTE (HOURS and HOUR RATE) FOR 250 PAGES BOOK. Although I have no professional experience, for my own purposes I have completed the same task of correcting OCR text. Mostly this is to copy and cite text from historical documents for research. 10 hours seems a reasonable estimate for the work described and I am happy to do this at the rate of $2/hour.
