Create optimised squid cache with GUI for embedded device

I wish to create an optimized squid cache installation on an embedded device running OpenWRT. When complete this device will provide a pre-configured; transparent web cache with admin GUI. The target platform is a low-power embedded board with solid-state cache storage. The project will have 3 phases: Phase 1. Installation, tuning and benchmarking of squid on the embedded device. Phase 2. Creation of admin GUI and packaging of configurable items. Phase 3. Final benchmarking, “burn-in?? testing and bug fix. Skills required: Linux administration, expert level. Including Squid Experience. Linux tuning and load testing, advanced level. Ability to develop luci applications Ability to package OpenWRT ipkg.
