create playlists for itunes from folders on mac os x

I am looking to have a Mac os based application that can create playlists that can be used in itunes from folder structure, containing all the songs from each folder. The playlist should be saved in the same folder. ## Deliverables **Scope of Work** ** ** **1. Introduction** I am looking to have a Mac os based application that can create playlists that can be used in itunes from folder structure, containing all the songs from each folder. The playlist should be saved in the same folder. **2. Project description** The project, "Playlists from folder" (**PFF**) targets the creation and development of a mac os x application that - Users should be able to create playlists by one click for each one of their folders and subfolders located on their hard disk, containing all the songs within the folder. The playlist should be stored within the same folder containing the targeted songs. - Users should be able to run the application again and replace the existing playlist, once the songs within the folders change. **3. Concept** The PFF will have a simple design, layout, structure. **4. Requirements & Deliverables** The application will create as many playlists as the selected folders containing all the songs from each folder. Ie if the folder "music" contains 30 songs and 2 folders named "dance" and "classical" containing 40 and 30 songs respectively, the application should create 1) a playlist named "music" containing 30 songs 2) a playlist named "dance" containing 40 songs 3) a playlist named "classical" containing 30 songs All the playlists should be placed within the source folder. I the case that the application run again for the same folders the playlist should be replaced with a new playlist containing the new songs within the folder. **5. Platform** The solution should be based on Mac os x **6. Instructions and timelines** 6.1. Your proposal should be submitted in English as per submission requirements outlined herewith. 6.2 Potential bidders will be required to submit an electronic copy of their proposal not later than 12:00 hours Dubai Time on 8th Oct 2011 and also indicate how long it will take to develop the solution. 6.3 Your requests for clarification must be submitted by 7th Oct 2011. 6.4. All proposals will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of this scope of work document and the final product to be ready by the 13th OCT 2011. **7. Notification of Award** You will be informed by 10th Oct as to whether your proposal has been selected or not however we shall not be obliged to provide explanations or reasons for its selection. **8. Legal** 1) I require complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done (so that I may modify it in the future). 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a. Any website server-side deliverables must be installed by the worker in ready-to-run condition in the employer's environment. b. Any website server-side deliverables must be provided with complete instructions and assistance so that the employer may install them in ready-to-run condition in the employer's environment. c. Any website server-side deliverables must be installed as described elsewhere by the employer. d. If there are any server-side deliverables (intended to only exist in one place in the employer's environment) then they must be installed by the worker in ready-to-run condition (unless specified elsewhere by the employer). e. All other software (including but not limited to any desktop software or software the employer intends to distribute) must include a software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this project (unless specified elsewhere by the employer). 3) All deliverables will be considered 'work made for hire' under U.S. Copyright law. Employer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. 4) No part of the deliverable may contain any copyright restricted 3rd party components (including GPL, GNU, Copyleft, etc.) unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the employer on the site per the worker's 'Worker Legal Agreement'.
