A simple Windows desktop exe application to control PC's audio volume

I like to have a small exe that can adjust the PC's master audio volume level individually (Left and Right only). E.g. If the exe receives two variables 50 and 20, it will change the left channel audio volume to 50 and right channel volume to 20. More details below. Requirements: 1. Must not display a window or GUI or any user interface (except a task bar icon) 2. No installation required, executes in the background directly from any location in hard disk 3. compatible with Windows OS including Vista, 7 and 8 4. must interface with my music player program* running on the same Windows PC * I am open to suggestion as to how the inter-program communications can be achieved. For example: 1. my player program will write to a text or binary file to pass the parameters to the exe 2. or my player will send a TCP or UDP message to pass parameters, etc etc Example parameters: Set new Left and Right audio levels e.g. "45,30" read current Left and Right audio levels e.g. "read" (& exe will write values to file so I can read the values) Tell the exe to quit e.g. "quit"
