Arduino Development for Flowmeter

Hi! Sedox My name is Victor, I am Physics engineer with a lot of experience in embedded hardware. As a Coffee Addict I have in my home a custon made coffemaker, I have afronted similar problems in my own prototype. I have a few questions and a recomedation. As I have seen in this video: [login to view URL] Maybe you can use the flow meter in the path betwen the water reservoir and the heater. I worry about the volumen that flow meter will take inside the machine. That intervention maybe represent a really big modification in the whole machine. Have you thought about control the quantity of coffe just controlling the timing the solenoid? This modification can be done in a easier way and get a similar result. What do you think?
