We have a range of adjustable beds that are currently controlled by a RF remote which talks to the microprocessor in the control box within the bed. This project is to design and build an Android App to replace the remote function, and add in a few extra features included in most "Sleep Tracking" apps available on the market today. This app will NOT be available in the Android store, it will be pre-loaded onto a tablet, and issued to every sale. It would be preferred if the tablet was 'locked down' so no other functions/settings can be altered/other apps can be downloaded, if in doing this, some features have to be scaled back, we will need to discuss prior to taking on the project. The custom tablet we have ordered will connect to the control box over Bluetooth. Connected to the control box, aside from the standard Massage Motors, Lifting Motors and LED lights, will be accelerometer's built into the bed itself. The accelerometers will feed data into the tablet for it to process into the sleep app, similar to the way smart phone's accelerometers feed into current sleep apps. I have used "Sleep as Android" as a strong foundation on which the added 'Sleep Cycle' features are built. Current Remote Features needed to be included: Head Up/Down Foot Up/Down Pre-set Position including Zero G and Semi-Fowler Memory Set positions and custom names of memory set positions Under bed LED Lights On/Off Massage Head end on/off Massage foot end on/off Full Body massage on/off Massage Timer 15/30/60 minutes Massage Intensity Head/Foot 1-10 Bed High/Low (Some beds only/Optional Feature) Partner anti-snore (Raise partners Bed Head over 30 degrees) Sleep tracker/alarm features - NEW - Sleep cycle tracking with smart wake up uses sensors built into the bed - Sleep deficit, deep sleep and snoring statistics - 4 stages of sleep statistics - FaceBook & Twitter sharing - Gentle volume nature sound alarms, adjust bed, start massage (memory set-able) - Nature sound lullabies - CAPTCHA wake up verification option - Sleep talk recording, snoring detection and anti-snoring
