Hi, Based on the project description, i am guessing that the existing code is not implemented as multi - threaded application. we can reduce the execution time if we can implement it as a multi threaded program. we can create multiple pthreads in Linux to handle different tasks. I will use GDB debugger on Linux to back-trace flow that need to be optimized (time executing in your code), I will optimize some un-used code in your project. Example: - Replaced index++ by ++index to increase the For loop - Optimize data type to store data, I can use technical shift bit to do it. - Use pointers to access memory or inline or macros to increase performance.
