Hi, I have created a lot web scraper applications to get the data from we pages. The most recent was scraping keywords from KeywordIO. I will go with C# (Console Application) and MSSQL Express and HTMLAgility Pack to load and parse HTML. Also by using HTML Agility pack we, will have advantage of LINQ. There will be two module in the application - 1) Core scraper - This module will contain the HTML parser program. We will parse the HTML and load it to C# object. We will keep adding the objects into a list. 2) DB Updater - I will use "SQL Bulk Copy" to save all parsed data to database. I will keep a list of failed links and so can run it again. All code will be optimized and verified by ReSharper tool. There will proper commenting on code where required. Apart from this I can give you sample code of my past work if required.
