You will add data to a database of FOSS Network Management software.
You will have to find out in depth information about each software.
I will give you an example: Nagios.
Now see if you can find the following about Nagios:
1) URL of bug tracker - search google for "nagios bug tracker"
2) URL of main source code repository - "nagios source code"
There might be more than one, you will need to find the authoratitave one. If there are more than one it is usually a fork and it gets another name, and should be listed separately.
3) Number of major contributors - not as important, but easy to find if
there is analytics such as if it is on github, or if you read the comments in the main source code. We will want their contact details as well for the database.
4) Predominant Programming language used
5) Mailing list / forum URLs
6) Start date of project
The task is simply to collect the above and more - and more for as many projects as you can, we will pay for your time. All the data goes into an online spreadsheeet, and many people can work on it at the same time. It took me 3 minutes to collect the above on Nagios. You should be able to get all the information about at least 5 - 20 projects per hour.
We will pay per project that you get all the details for. If you get half the details, $3 per project. If you get all the details except one or two, $5 per project. If you get all the details, $8 per project. If you can do 20 in an hour, that is $160/hour. If you can only get half of 10 in an hour, that is $30/hour.
Message me the favourite one of the above questions about Nagios so that I know you understand what to do, then we can do a trial run for $30.
There are more than 200 of these, and my budget is $1600.
