Develop a VB.NET code snip-it to allow for changing the IE proxy/port for password protected proxies. It must be able to change this “on the fly” (while the WebBrowser control is already running).
The code for changing the proxy/port has already been developed (It uses WinINet dll to change the IE options) Changing the Reg-key’s does not appear to work for on the fly (requires IE restart). There is an InternetSetOption setting for proxy username/password but there has been no luck trying to use that.
These are for HTTP proxies, and the proxy authentication is by a basic HTTP user/password dialog. (Squid proxy server).
Desired functionality is: Enter username/password/proxy visit website1, and have the ability to change the proxy info and visit website2. The changing of passworded proxies must be done without user intervention, I.E. completely automatically.
