1. Produce an indexed library of all available teaching materials including gross specimens, glass slides, photos, documents and scanned (virtual) slides. Index of the specimens will require storing hierarchical data. 3rd party cloud-based search engine can be employed if necessary. 2. Develop a mobile friendly web-based application to facilitate search, retrieval and update of teaching resources. Use of HTML5 will be preferable to flash. The system will be expected available for data input in around 3-6 months and available for production in no more than 9-12 months. It will facilitate retrieval of specimens by teachers and students. Detail specification is available. A partially functional prototype based on MySQL and laravel has been developed can serve as a reference or code base. Starting from scratch with another any programming language/framework is also acceptable.
