Completing My Website

Hello,

I was working with a local developer who has hit a road block and cannot figure out the programming to get my work done. They are no longer able to assist with my project. There are some programming that they don't know how to do. I was wondering if anyone could help me out. They've been working on it for almost a year and taking way too long and can't even get it to function properly. Need this done in 7 days or less.

[url removed, login to view] - basically a social website that allows you to find friends/people to hang out with who share similar interests based on your city location.

# 1. Under the View Events tab - if you start typing in, say, TOR it will pre-populate cities that contain TOR like Toronto for example. So the cities, states, province are listed in the database. Just when you try to Register, the registration page doesn't work and they made it very messy. For example, if you chose Canada, the US states as well as the Canadian provinces pop up, then the wrong city appears too, like Canada (country), New York (state), Los Angeles (city) which doesn't make sense. So I'm looking to get this fixed so it would pull from the same database as the ones listed under View Events tab.

# 2. Currently, users can add their event, say Food. I want to add sub-categories as well. For example, if they choose Food, a sub category could be Coffee, Lunch, Fine Dining etc. so users can meet up for a coffee date or a random lunch meeting. Another example could be Hobbies, and a subcategory example would be Coins, Stamps, Scrapbooking, etc so users can find other people to scrapbook with together.

Please see example of the categories right now in the attached .png file. I would need to be able to have those sub categories to keep it more organized. I can send you a list of categories and subcategories that I need.

So basically, I need the registration page to work and correspond with the same database listed when they search/view/post/register obviously so it's all pulling from the same cities database. I'm not sure when they post, it's the same yet or not but that needs to be the same too.

So yes, just two things - this registering/view/post cities need to function and sync from the same database and the subcategories need to be created under the main categories.
