Stage 2: Mobile Hospitality Booking Application

Continuation of existing project by - Building the App interface using screens designed in Stage 1 - Adding real functionality with HTTP & XML files used to send look up requests and receive results for display on screens designed in Stage 1 - Interacting with test environment for testing and evaluation - App designer to document how the XML responses should be formatted, and test samples provided by sending authority The following are outcomes required from Stage 2: 1. App must be fully functional and ready for installation on ANDROID devices 2. App must be able to send http requests to a central server to request information from properties directly (specific information required was detailed in documentation provided during stage 1 and attached again here) and interpret results form pre-configured XML response file 3. App must be able to interrogate property databases &/or the properties Channel Manager for guest profile information, property information, room availability and rates information and display it accordingly within the results screens of the App. 4. Guests must be able to search for alternate properties within the destination town/city 5. Guests must be able to 'share' property information with colleagues 6. Guests must be able to book a room with a single click after the search is performed (subject to availability of rooms at a recognised Satin property etc) 7. All relevant property information must be 'active' within the App once properties have been search (i.e. website link, phone number dials if you click on it, email button opens an email if you click on it etc...) 8. Guest should be able to update their guest profile record at the property, from within the App - and this should update their guest record at ALL properties 9. Guests should be able to request a 'late arrival - leave the key out' at any property 10. Guests should be able to look up their 'Booking Confirmations' in a single list from multiple properties - then also edit or cancel a booking AND get directions to the property using Google Maps. 11. Guest should be able to 'scan a new property' into their App from a QR Code on display at the property or receive an SMS link to import the new property to their App. 12. Guests should be able to 'look for a new property' at a new destination that isn't currently in their App, but works with the App 13. Guests should be able to sort results alphabetically by location or by geographic distance from current location (i.e. current town shows up first, then the next nearest town etc...) 14. Result list should display Guests 'preferred' property in each town first and if a preferred property exists, it does NOT show any others for that town, unless the guest specifically clicks on the 'Find More Properties' button 15. If no 'preferred' property in this town exists, the list should show all current Satin properties in that town/city. 16. If no Satin property exists, the app should redirect to [login to view URL] using the Satin Affiliate Code for [login to view URL]
