In-Cabin Study for Driver Safety Research

We’re looking for a participant for an In-Cabin Study at Affectiva’s Data Lab in Waltham MA. This study asks the participant to be recorded when participating, and their recorded data will be used to train AI models that can be deployed in future vehicles to provide state-of-the-art driver safety features and a completely innovative in-cabin automotive experience. This study consists of a 2 hour guided experience expressing various emotional states, facial movements, head movements, body poses, and activities within a vehicle cabin while being recorded. Participants will have to remove their facemask for a portion of the study while alone inside a stationary test vehicle. This will be performed in our company-owned stationary test vehicle parked outside of Affectiva’s Automotive Data Lab in Waltham. Participants will receive scheduling information for a 2-hour time slot, held Mon-Fri. Commitment to your scheduled study time is incredibly important to the success of the study. Affectiva reserves there right to refuse study participation for any reason. Eligible participants: + Must be willing to sign a Covid-19 waiver and release for collecting their recorded data. + Must be willing to be recorded via cameras and microphones during the study. + Must not be under the influence of medications, alcohol, and/or other drugs during the study. + Must not wear or have any headgear, eye patches, or clothing that blocks the eyes or parts of the face during the study. Regular prescription eyeglasses are exempt from this requirement.
