Hello, I am Malik, an experienced embedded system developer. Specialized in different kinds of embedded platforms like ARM, Rasp Pi, Arduino, PIC and 8051. Your task is not as simple as to power up a motor through micro-controller (in your case Arduino). As you stated you need controlled moment of motors for a quadcopter. Besides the fact that you need only one moment, i-e, up and down (Take off and Land). You must keep in mind in quadcopters we use brushless motors with high RPM, for this famous is A2217-9 Brushless Outrunner Motor. These three-phased brushless motor are controlled by the Electronic Speed Controller (ESC). The ESC has three pairs of wires: current supply(2 thick) / motor wires (3 thick) / controller wire (3 small). Secondly, as the quadcopters are operated wirelessly, we will also need to code for RF communication, I will recommend to use 434MHz RF transmitter and receiver to get the job done. There are number of factors involved in proper flight of a quadcopter but as you need simple takeoff and landing, I can give you robust solution keeping the cost minimum. Need the requirements and features of your Project (ports, motor features, materials, etc.) if you dont have them I can propose the whole system for you (even the chassis and materials). After that, i will program a code and verify it as many times as you want. I can recommend suitable characteristics for your drone based on your actual Project. i am recently working on arduino as my end semester project and i think it is very easy to just fly up and down your quadcopter

Hello Sir, Thanks for posting this project. I have recently worked on a project similar to this. I have made fire fighting robot as my project in which i am controlling a number of motors with arduino. So, I have a decent experience of controlling motors with arduino. Hire me, I'll surely work according to your requirements. I am going to use command analogWrite(a value which is suitable for the speed of your motor); for controlling the speed of the motors. For 100m fly up i can control it through timing i can control it through measuring the time taken by your quadcopter and let the motor run for that period of time. If this is acceptable for you then its ok otherwise i'll go the other solutions. If you want the exact length of 100m then i will code by measuring the length Thanks

As per the project requirements I've got the required knowledge in using Arduinos and also have desigsned many other projects based on arduino. I've attended various workshops based on arduinos and I'm capable of designing arduino board from scratch. I've also attended the workshop on designing and building quadcopters and have successfully built one from scratch using an arudino.
