You have mentioned: "Each sensor has a unique ID and some data. It sends this information to a wireless receiver. Receiver has a serial port. We want to read sensor values from receiver's serial port and create a modbus register list at Raspberry Pi. Raspberry Pi will work like a Modbus Master and it will use one of USB port as a RS485 via USB-RS485 converter. I will give sensor data type and details." It is not clear how the sensorr receiver will output data on serial port.(or is it RS485?) Will sensors data be available on one serial port? Does that conform to MODBUS ?
