We have got a C# software. This software can operate with MS Office, PDF, txt, rtf, files converting them to a zip archive with stack of images. The Zip archive has special extension (*.arch) and is allowed to open with only same program. This software presents stack of images in the archive as a page document and demonstrates it on the screen. Conversion documents to an archive with stack working by 1) Menu item, 2) Dragging a file to the shortcut (or exe) of the program. Converted document is kept in special folder. Working with the program can be demonstrated with the following scheme: Drag the document to be converted to program shortcut -> Program working -> Show folder with converted file and show converted file in program window.
What should you do is: User should not only be able to operate with the shortcut or menu, but with the folder. User dragging the file to the explorer folder and then document converts to archive, stores in that folder, and program shows window with the converted document. When we transfer the archive to another folder, the extension of the file changes form *.arch to *.zip. When we put a zip to the folder, program checks is it an archive and then changes its extension to *.arch. Is it possible to implement with usual windows explorer? If not you should create a window in software like window of explorer.
The next stage is to determine this "__________/" pattern in image. It's not difficult I think, you can use free libraries. When the pattern is found, mark its position in same (or another file) and draw a transparent window with 2 buttons OK and Cancel. It will be dummy buttons, without a function. That’s all.
I can discuss the project with skype and send you detailed specs.
