Design/construct a product for mass production

We are looking for someone designing/constructing a product for us. The product is a small electro-mechanical locking product. We are already having multiple designs but need a freelancer who designs a new construction from scratch. You have to have a feeling for esthetical design and experience in constructing products for mass production. You will have to design/construct the whole product including the mechanics (a locking mechanism). The product consists oft he following: • A locking mechanism consisting of Needle/Pin (made out of metal) Small electronic-motor Mechanic that locks A battery A PCB We are providing: • A detailed description of the functionallity + detailed requirements • 3D data of the PCB • A drawing of the motor • An existing design where you can see how the mechanics shall work (mechanics are patented). As the product is a mass product and extremely price sensitive it is very important, that the manufacturing and assembly process is extremely cheap – so your design should allow a cheap production as well as a cheap assembly process. Your delivered data must be ready to hand them over to a mould maker/a company producing the products. Milestones: 1. Reconstruct the motor in 3D from drawings 2. Construct+simulate the locking mechanism and define materials 3. Construct the device/case and define materials 4. Create product renderings 5. Create a test simulation of different forces applied to the device
