We are looking for strong front end web developers who are passionate about developing amazing user experiences and building great software to help take Buddy Platform's IoT (Internet of Things) platform to the next level. Buddy is a flexible and scalable platform for collecting and processing Internet of Things (IoT) data. Our platform is used to power the Buddy Ohm connected building resource monitoring system - a "FitBit for Buildings" (see [login to view URL]). At Buddy, we thrive on ambiguity and our culture is defined by aggressively pursuing big, bold bets. The IoT market is in its infancy and we strongly believe that we're well positioned to execute as the market continues to grow. Our team is passionate about making the IoT vision a reality and we hire smart people who are just as passionate. We are based in Seattle (USA) and are currently looking to hire staff to supplement our Adelaide (Australia) office. The two offices operate collaboratively using platforms such as Skype, Slack and GitHub. We run a mixture of Linux/Windows systems in public clouds, with technologies such as C#, Node.js/JavaScript, React, Kafka, Spark, Redis, Docker, Go, Spark, Java and Scala. We are looking for a seasoned front end web developer with a strong background in React, Angular, Redux, Backbone. If you also rock HTML/CSS/Javascript, BootStrap, JQuery, CSS3, HTML5 and have experience with Auth0 while being comfortable in a fast moving, dynamic environment – you are in the right place! You'll be working on our customer facing dashboard and portal customer experiences, visualizing data generated from Buddy Ohm devices deployed worldwide. Responsibilities: Front end development for flat screen TV-style dashboards + web portal Working with a remote team - across our Adelaide + Seattle offices, with a manager based in Brisbane Designing/developing web software Work together with various teams: creative, marketing, product Qualifications: 5+ years experience developing modern web applications Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent work experience Experience with the entire software development life cycle Solid communication skills / soft skills Strong understanding of the software design/architecture process 3+ years solid experience on HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, React, Redux, Angular, Backbone and BootStrap. We're envisaging a contract engagement with the potential for full time employment thereafter if the engagement is successful.
