I need an smart bracelet than will be able to learn movements.. for example squats, pushups, deadlifts, and then count how many reps you did of each one... It would be easy if you do something like neural network because the workouts will be predefined.. so foir example if you have to do 20 pushups and 10 squats... first the bracelet will compare with the pushup learned and after completed the 20 will compare with squats... I dont know where is easy to process, if using something like dspic or using an android app... you have to develop the algorithm

My Background: Manager, Designs. Signal Processing Expert. I've implemented a basic pedometer algorithm using 3-d Accelerometers. I've also implemented used Artificial Neural Networks for image compression. Please look at my profile for my complete work. This project is very similar to implementing a pedometer. In this case, since the workout is predefined, we can use accelerometers to understand the motion. Ideally if you have an android mobile phone with an accelerometer (which almost all the phones have), then an android app can developed to do the same. I believe i have the right expertise in this area to deliver a quality project. If you have any queries, please let me know. I will be happy to answer. Hola que tal, primero aclaro que no estoy aplicando para tu proyecto, en este momento no tengo mucho tiempo sin embargo con los datos que proporcionas creo que puede haber una solucion mas sencilla. No se cuales sean los fines de tu proyecto, si son comerciales o son para realizar algun tipo de estudio, pero te queria comentar de una solucion un tanto mas sencilla y barata. TexasInstruments vende un reloj con ssensores, ez430-chronos-915 el cual contiene muchos sensores incluyendo acelerometro, el kit tiene cun costo aproximado de 800 pesos mexicanos y viene con un modulo usb para comunicacion rf con el reloj, mediante el cual se puede configurar todo y tambien recibe la informacion de los sensonres, de hecho TI proporciona una alicacion para windows que muestra graficas de los sensores en tiempo real, entonces puedes ver los movimientos de la mano representados por los valores del acelerometro, con esto solo restaria que un ingeniero de software pudiese capturar esos datos y procesarlos en la misma computadora. Si tu proposito es mas de crear un nuevo producto pues esta solucion no te ayuda mucho. En fin, espero que de alguna manera esta informacion te ayude. Saludos,

Hi , I have a similar project by sensing different variations of acceleration on X, Y and Z axis of an off-the -shelf accelerometer . We used CC430F6137 microcontroller to run a algorithm . Regards, Ahmed A Ghouri
