Database editing

HELLO We are editing our database and we need your help to edit and delete some cells. Below is a detailed explanation. We have also made a video to make it even more clear on what to do. It might seem a bit confusing at first but it’s actually very easy once you see the video and done it a couple of times. WHAT WE ARE TRYING TO ACHIEVE The Excel spreadsheet has a list of products, but many products have a rule that needs to be edited for importing into our database program. FILE You will be editing an existing database Excel spreadsheet with 6454 rows. It is added to this project. STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS 1) Identify the product which has rules. A product has a full number in cell B (e.g. 101, 1015, 1018). If it has a rule then the next product underneath will have the same number, but followed by another number after a hyphen (e.g. 1018-001, 1018-002, 1018-003 - a product has 3 rules) 2) After the rules rows for a product are identified, change cell A text from ‘Product’ to ‘Rule’. 3) Delete rule cells C - J, but not the product. 4) Cell K. Make sure that the number in the ‘Product’ row is the same as the number in first variant. e.g. If 1018 product number in cell K is 0, but the 1018-001 cell K number is 202, then change the product number in cell K to 202. 5) Cell K. Add [FIXED] in front of the ‘Rule’ rows number. e.g. Cell K is 202, change it to [FIXED]202 6) Delete ‘Rule’ cells L - U. 7) Delete ‘Rule’ cells Y - AX. 8) Delete cell BL. 9) Identify the next product with rules and repeat steps 2 - 9.
