235190 Branding and Website Design

This project is for design work for company branding, a new internet website, and product insert design. First Task: The selected designer will be required to first refine the company logo concept (see attached), and the basis of the corporate branding (typography, colors, etc.). The logo needs to be made with 2 versions: PICS Personal as the company name, with versions for Canada and USA. The tag line is "get personal". The black and green colors tie in with an upcoming product, so these colors should be used. Also, the larger font for PICS is desirable as we want to brand the PICS name. Second task: using the branding and logo as the cornerstone, create a fun, clean-looking interface for a product-based website. A modern, clean and good looking interface is a high priority for the website look and feel, so high quality design work is required -- NO HACKS PLEASE! We already have some layout ideas and colour schemes in mind, but we are open to suggestions. A file is attached with a general concept for the site layout. Third Task: The company partners all agree that a site design similar to crocs (dot) com is desirable, though the Flash menus will NOT be required or implemented in the initial website. However, a main Flash element (similar in functionality to crocs) being added to the design is a must. A general storyboard will be provided for this element. Fourth Task: Design an insert for our Picture Mug product (see thepicturemug (dot) com and (dot) ca). Currently only a Travel Mug is available, but we have water bottles arriving in August. We will be shifting the focus of the site from only Picture Mugs to Personal and Customizable products. The new site and direction of branding will be towards the PICS Personal concept. The first insert required is for the PICS Personal Travel Mug. A PSD template is available for download on both websites. Expected deliverables would be Adobe PSD files (not flattened) for the logo, the interface design, and the insert design. Also, a vector-based output of the logo (.ai) is required. Unless the TTF font file or files can be delivered, fonts used in the design should be standard Windows fonts or royalty-free font files. No HTML or other coding is required -- only design work at this point. As part of your bid, IT IS CRITICAL that you specify the cost of each task separately, preferably by Private Message since bids are hidden. Please provide examples of both website and logo designs you have personally completed in your proposal. Anyone who provides actual design samples or concepts for our logo or website (on spec) will be given higher consideration. Please keep it real.
