Rhino T-shirt design

“Skrik vir Niks” is a South African company that creates quality South African clothing. “Skrik vir Niks” mean scared of nothing or fearless in Afrikaans. We’re a friendly, fun and colourful brand which celebrates South African diversity. There is a major problem with Rhino poaching in South Africa and we want to create a design for a T-shirt to create more awareness. Proceeds from the sale of this T-shirt will go to a Rhino conservation charity. The brief Create 2 design options for a T-shirt containing an image/illustration of a Black Rhino (note, there are different species of Rhino, ensure the design uses a Black Rhino – read up on Wikipedia). The design will also contain a short bit of text underneath it reading “Supporting Rhino conservation” The design execution can be illustrative, stylistic, graphic and simple. The tone/character of the shirt should be a bit grungy/gritty/urban, sporty, outdoors, African, safari, consider ‘woodcut’ technique, unique. It needs impact and should feel ‘designer’ – ask yourself how this will compete with other t-shirts on a shop shelf. It needs to look great. Consider design elements like paint splashes or interesting overlay patterns. Other T-shirt labels which have a similar ‘feel’ we are trying to achieve are the urban, outdoor and surfer brands – have a look at No Fear, Quicksilver, Echo and Fox.
