We have over 500 web domains representing the majority of major towns in the UK, e.g. [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL], etc.. We wish to initially develop a prototype website for up to 6 towns as a proof of concept. We will then plan to develop a fully integrated site to centrally manage all domains. The majority of people in the UK move within a five mile radius and search the local newspapers for suitable properties as well as other property websites. We wish to develop each site as a local community website with the principal feature being local properties available for sale and rental. This property data will be provided by an existing portal, e.g. [login to view URL] which contains all properties from professional estate agents. The site will also include a trade directory containing local home related businesses, e.g. solicitors, removals, insurance, plumbers, decorators, etc.. The directory will be tiered to provide premium listings. Please see [login to view URL] for an idea of a local comunity site. This site have a good clean visual design and graphics. The site will also have a classified listing to allow private individuals to sell or rent their homes or sell other household items. The functionality must provide an authenicated registration facility to ensure quality of content. The site will need to provide key advertising placements from where revenue will be derived. The site will require a CMS to allow easy update of content as Joomla made provide a good solution. The visual interface and design aesthetics are extremely important and we require a clear modern interface that can easily be used by people of all ages. Graphic design skills are important.
