Design a Block of Text for a Book

I am writing a book and would like to use a swirl effect on a block of text to visually represent a character falling asleep, an effect I cannot produce using Microsoft Word alone. While there are free sites that already offer something roughly analogous (see attached example), I need the text to start off looking normal, and then gradually bend downward before looping in on itself. I also want the text to gradually decrease in opacity, starting off normally and slowly fading with each swirl until it is very faint in the center of the swirl, again, to visually represent falling asleep. The image you create would have to be in a format that I could import into Microsoft Word and manipulate therein to fit the margins. The text would be single spaced, 12-point Times New Roman, with a first-line indent of six spaces and it would be as follows: He sat beside the fire, his legs pressed against his stomach, and stared into the flames, hoping the kinetic imagery would keep him awake. And for a while, it did. But little by little, the rhythmic ebb and flow of the dancing flames proved more stimulating than soothing. This effect was compounded by the slow and steady breathing of his sleeping comrades. Lamar gradually found himself nodding off, his head drooping as the siren song of sleep beckoned, whispering tranquil words in his ear. Lamar felt himself slowly succumbing.
