UI-UX Design

Multi Image Group (MIG) is a leader in producing global and experiential live meetings and events and is seeking applicants for an UI-UX Designer position. This is a Freelance opportunity that could potentially be long-term with a possible transition to a permanent staff position for the right candidate. This detail-oriented UI-UX Designer will work with a team of over 100 professionals in a world-class facility based in South Florida (or remotely in the area)and will report directly to the Director of Production and the Project Lead. The UI-UX Designer is responsible for creating overall graphic look and design of assigned projects. They must demonstrate the ability to understand and communicate a client’s vision with straightforward yet innovative design solutions from concept to execution to completion. The UI-UX Designer will be charged with creating graphic elements to help tell a story, and must be able to collaborate with assigned team members. Requirements • Creativity and originality with a strong visual sense in programming, layout, design, etc, • Strong Graphic Design Background. • Ability to present and explain ideas to clients and colleagues through written documentation, storyboarding, Keynote, Powerpoint, etc. • Excellent knowledge of interactive design. • Ability to multi-task many projects and is detail-oriented. • Ability to work in a deadline-driven, time sensitive environment. • Ability to efficiently manage their time on all assigned projects. • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and must show flexibility when receiving client or team feedback. • Experience working with a company brand and understanding their guidelines. • Research and review new interactive software and offer recommendations. • Strong attention to detail (such as proofing) to ensure a high-quality output. • Detail oriented and organized in keeping content and changes up to date; excellent file management. • Must be able to work long hours when required – including evenings and weekends. Qualifications Communications • Understanding of UI/UX Principles. • Experience in developing wireframes and/or storyboards to convey concept. • Familiar with developing for Mobile Devices and Touchscreens: tablets, smartphones, kiosks. Language • Fluent in HTML5, CSS3, Javascript programming languages. • Familiar with CMS systems: Wordpress, Joomla, Magento, etc. Software • Expert knowledge in Adobe Design Software: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Bridge. • Expert knowledge in Adobe Development Software (Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash) or similar • Knowledge of Designer Interface HTML applications: Adobe Edge, Motion Composer, or something similar. • Knowledge of Adobe Motion Software (After Effects) a plus • Experience with Designer Interface Touch-Interactive applications: Intuiface, Omnitapps, or similar. • Proficient knowledge in MS Office. • Extensive background creating dynamic presentations in Microsoft Powerpoint and/or Apple Keynote • Proven experience in transforming existing presentations for iPad compatibility through use of Apple iBooks Author, Mag+, Adobe Digital Publishing Suite, or similar. • Eagerness to continue to grow and develop capabilities in unfamiliar softwares. Skills • Design Degree. • Three to five years industry experience. • Experience working with a company brand and understanding their guidelines. • Keen on finding solutions when presented with new interactive challenges. • Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills. • Pre-press file set-up experience (for print) a plus. • Expert-level experience with print design and output a plus (but not required).
