Graphics Designer for Skateboard Business

We are looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to join us in our goal to be the best Electric Skateboard Brand in the world. We want someone who is motivated by success, and loves a challenge. We need said individual to help us create a multitude of different formats and sizes to fit our advertising needs across our Facebook, Google, Email and Youtube platforms to assist with promoting not only our products but the content that we create to help grow our presence and brand awareness in the market. About Us: We’re a relatively young Start Up in an emerging industry (Electric Skateboarding). We love creating meaningful and inspiring content that captures the benefits of owning and riding an E-skate and we know the industry is only growing. We also sell other products and accessories for the DIY E-skate market which puts us in another league compared to our competitors. You will be working with a small team based in Gold Coast Australia as well as working with our other employees based in other parts of Australia & USA. About You: You’re a Pro at creating exciting graphic content and have a good knowledge of design principles. You don’t need anyone to tell you what’s good design or not, you already know and trust your own judgement. You can take a product and make it look like an absolute rockstar, (even though we know it already is) You have a good idea of the audience you’re designing for. You learn on the go to create graphics that relate to our current and new potential customers You’re looking for a new opportunity—a product you can get behind and be proud to tell your parents about (Electric Skateboards!)…. and a team you actually enjoy working with. You’re obsessed with getting things done. If a task is unfinished or unaccounted for, you’re not sleeping until it’s scheduled or complete. You care about your fellow humans. You want to be involved with a company and founder who cares about their customers. You’re not just here for the gold rush and money grab. You communicate clearly and confidently. What You’ll Be Doing: Creating advertising content for our FB and Adwords Campaigns Creating graphics for our website, blog and social pages Making Exciting Thumbnails for YT/FB video content Making graphics for our Email newsletters Working simultaneously on multiple projects Create visual aspects of marketing materials, websites and other media, including infographics Put together elements created by another professional, such as icons, photographs and other components necessary for a landing page design. Preferred Experience/Qualities: Diploma or Equivalent in Graphic Design or similar design course. Bachelor Ideal. You have at least 2-3 years experience in working with other businesses (small or large) to help them create compelling graphics that help drive traffic and create a consistent and appealing brand identity. Basic Photo Editing skills Good communication skills Prompt turn arounds, you will be required to create ideas on short notice and execute Be inspired to explore the possibilities of a new emerging industry of personal E-transport. Be easy to get along with! We care about integrity, We don’t want someone who is only willing to work the bare minimum. If something needs doing, we expect responsive problem solving and communication. You will be working with a small team based in Gold Coast Australia as well as working with our other employees based in other parts of Australia & USA. Hours are 10-15hrs p/w to start with, but may increase if we are doing a campaign during that particular week. Eventually our goal is to have someone full-time.
