Overview
Create a modern sortable, searchable internal talent database web application. The webapp will streamline the process of collecting information about new and existent talent with a branded online registration form. WLM will import the existing Excel database and multimedia into the new database.
Project Specifications
Public interface and multimedia options
• Self-registration via an online form on the public website
• Upload options for bios and resumes as Word and PDF
• Upload options for head shots and promotional videos
• Optional links to external sites such as YouTube and Vimeo
Private interface, includes multimedia options from the public interface
• Browsable table view, sortable by column - Name, age, sex, race, location, etc…
• Search form, resulting in an overview page with image thumbnail
• Editable talent detail pages, reachable from the table or search results
Additional tasks
• Import existing Excel spreadsheet (estimated 1,000 records)
• Import and link existing multimedia (estimated xxx files)
Database fields
Name, age, sex, race, location, internal rating, head shot/s, promo video/s, date created, date modified
Technical details
The application will be created with PHP, JavaScript HTML5 and CSS3. The data will be stored in a SQL database. The multimedia will be stored on the file system, indexed by record id.
Maintenance
No routine maintenance should be necessary. Sunrise will be responsible for ensuring database and file system backups via standard Dreamhost services.
Hosting
The talent database will be hosted by Sunrise on their existing DreamHost server
