Calling all good people with experience in website programming:
We have an exciting opportunity to help thousands of small-scale Ecuadorian farmers secure their water rights and plan efficient and potable water use systems.
We are looking for someone who can help us update and improve our website ([login to view URL]) which has two important functions:
1. A form that generates water adjudication (rights) applications
2. A way of pulling weather station data from a cloud server, displaying it, and downloading it to csv files
The programs/languages used are the following: Html, css, Javascript, php, python, mysql and amazon ec2 cloud computing
We are looking for someone who CAN SPEAK SPANISH who can put in several hours of time outside of their full-time job to make some substantial updates, and then be available to make small changes and fix glitches on an as-needed basis.
This is either a paid position (we wont be able to pay a whole lot) or a volunteer position that could include a one week, all-expenses paid trip to the rural southwest slopes of the Andes in Ecuador where the Dulcepamba Project is located.
