Need help with redesign and implementation for new website

We just launched a new website and feel that the site's design is a little bit lacking.

Specifically, there are three areas that need addressing:

1) Front / cover page.

We would like to work a logo and spread photo together, hide the menu, and include some icon illustrations, 6, one for each area of the website. Underneath those is a short explanation of what that web page section is for. We have these already (logo, icons, style guide for fonts & colors, cover photo, and icons for the website.) But we're just not happy with how it all fits together, so we need someone to redo it. We want an emphasis on SIMPLICITY, PROFESSIONALISM and GETTING THE USER TO THE NEXT PAGE. (low bounce rate).

2) 6 "navigation" -level pages.

The website features about 6 different types of free learning content. Each of these leads to a navigation area. Right now the navigation area is basically just a table of results, around 60-80. The results display in a table for: difficulty level, page title, subcategory. Above the results, you can click a filter to show only pages of one particular subcategory. I would like to redesign this using more user-friendly and attractive icons. Again, the emphasis is on USER ENGAGEMENT.

3) Several internal CSS elements

There are also a few small internal CSS elements that are used consistently in the design. These include: a video preview, an expandable/collapsible box for the video's transcript, and a few buttons (all of which are designed in the same way). We'd like these all to be addressed as well with an emphasis on user experience and creating an attractive overall design.
