My client has a training website written entirely in Perl and I need help modifying it. There is another developer that's working on the project and you will both be modifying the same files so you'll need to figure out a way to work together so that you don't overwrite each others changes. My current developer can only spend a couple hours per week on this project. I need someone that could spend 20+ hours per week.
Here's some more info on the project:
You MUST have a background in web development with Perl to be considered for this project. Hardly anyone uses Perl especially for a whole website so I need to know that you know Perl programming for websites and not just simple Perl maintenance scripts or CRON jobs.
The training program uses the YouTube API and the client is having a lot of trouble with the images and YouTube videos in mobile browsers. The YouTube videos are not allowed to open up full screen on any browser or device because then the users can skip the videos to complete the course faster.
The client wants the site to work in mobile devices but they only want the video player and images to be viewed in a few sizes, not infinite scaling. So, mobile devices would see the small-sized player, tablets would see the medium-sized player, and desktops would see the large player. They are very picky about the size and shape of the player, the image next to the video, the buttons below the video, the borders, and the quiz questions and answers.
I can not share the website address publicly. Contact me via chat to see the site and get a login to watch the training.
Hi, Hope am not too late. from the "some more info on the project" you provided, I believe that I can handle it. could you send me the site link and let me go through it ? Thanks, Steven
