Illustrations for children's book. 23 pages including cover.

We are looking for an aspiring illustrator for a children's book that is 23 pages in length including cover. It is the story of a group of pets that have banded together to clean their home. We are looking for a simplistic and whimsical/cartoony style. The illustrations will not need to be extremely in depth or detailed, however the style should be unique and fun. Most illustrations will be the inside of a home, so the ability to draw furniture, and other basic home items would be needed, as well as several different types of animals. This will be for a self-published book. No royalty fees will be paid. Illustrator will receive cover page credit and title page credit. Illustrator needs to be open to suggestions from author however illustrator will have a good amount of creative input as well. Illustrator will be under work for hire contract to deliver high quality scans of original illustrations within agreed time frame (60 days). Rough concept sketches need to be provided prior to delivery of final high quality scans in order for author to give suggestions. Illustrator will receive 30% up front, and 70% upon delivery of final scans. Failure to deliver final high quality scans on time will result in revocation of advance. Illustrator must be 18 years of age or older. This is a great opportunity for aspiring artists or art students to get some portfolio material and extra spending money. Thanks.
