102244 Pegasus Opera I - RMAs

We have a UK customer with a live Pegasus Opera I accounts system. Pegasus Opera I is written in FoxPro DOS, source code not available, runs on FoxPro database. This project is to create a Customer Sales Returns program that can manage Customer Returns (RMAs) and insert Sales Credit orders into Opera. A Sales return (RMA) is a document that authorises a customer to return product previously supplied. An RMA might cross-refer to the original Sales order where the Product was sold. RMAs can have multiple lines. Inserting a Sales order credit into Opera can mean creating a record in the Sales orders table , inserting records in the Sales order lines table, updating the Customer record, updating the Product record. Don't mind what langauge is used for the program - we will own copyright in the code and you wil provide full compilable source code. If the program requires it's own database as well as Opera's FoxPro database, prefer MS Access for simplicity. Multi-user. It will be an advantage if you understand the Pegagus Opera I database structure. This project is No. 3 of 4 projects we have for the same customer - each one is a separate Scriptlance project - other projects are : 1) Synchronisation program to connect Pegasus Opera and osCommerce 2a) Standalone Quotations system - creates XML Sales orders files 2b) Import XML Sales orders into Opera 4) Sales statistics reports - Customer has been re-keying Opera reports into existing Excel spreadsheets - replace keying-in with program reading data from Opera
