I am looking for someone with great understanding of both Macintosh and PC devices. I am developing a project where information (.pdf and images) and a very simple JAVA software program are stored on a micro sd card and/or standard USB thumbdrive and inserted into a generic 5 in 1 USB/card reader (see the attached image) to be used with either PC or Macintosh (unless you're a genius and can figure out how to make it available to either)
Currently, the program and accompanying literature is 100% pc. I would like someone to work with me for as many as three months, off and on, converting the program, literature, verbiage and whatever else to Macintosh (and Spanish?) The PC instructions and such are now being re-written from a former iteration.
The program will be stored and inserted through a supplied usb thumbdrive and/or the micro sd card. Following written instructions, the customer for this product will enter information , save it as .html and .txt (or whatever mac needs to then be read by any mac device. As I understand it, neither the thumbdrive nor the micro sd card can be made compatible for BOTH O-systems, so the final units will need to be either one or the other. Right?
I will have to rely on your knowledge, ability, understanding and regular/frequent conversation. As a retiree, I am available nearly all day long and HATE having to wait more than 3 minutes for responses (only kind of kidding). The current $150 rate covers this job only. Tweaks I expect to be covered by the $150. Unforeseen changes or revisions will be considered new jobs and be paid as such.
Please don't blow smoke, telling me you can do it when you can't. That has happened 3 times now. I am Macintosh illiterate and will have to take your word for everything Mac related. Add the word "Accipiter" to your response. Use it properly in a sentence for extra credit :-). Be able to translate the pc and Mac instructions to Spanish will garner extra extra credit.
I will send the project info as it currently exists to the right candidate. No NDA need be signed. It isn't a new idea, just an updated way of doing it. If you're as jazzed as I am about the prospect of this project and want to be an ongoing partner, say so.
