Currently working on Protractor for our internal testing and also had good api testing experience using Rest API and tool name as Katalon studio for api testing.

protractor is mainly for angularjs ui app testing but not suited for API. we can use vrest, boomerang, insomnia or post man or reassure or mainly Soapui for Apis. contact me if you want to do end to end solution for API and micro service testing and automation
