Chrome extension to enforce visibility of google calendar

We need to make sure that our users have particular Google Calendars visible. The calendars are in their Google Calendar list, but they may have them unticked so they aren't shown. We'd like a Chrome extension we can install for all our users. Presumably this would contain a bit of javascript to check every hour to see if particular calendars are visible, and if they aren't, make them visible.
I am happy to edit the javascript to handle our particular calendars - just need a working proof of concept.
