Legal Advice on UK FCA Licensing Requirement

We are a startup fintech company that has built an application that allows peer to peer payments in exchange for services provided. We effectively act as an agent in order to facilitate the transaction; and see ourselves as a software company rather than a financial institution. We leverage other payment processes to facilitate the transfer of payment

We are looking for a discreet piece of legal advice by a lawyer / firm who specializes in UK financial services / FCA regulation and licensing requirements.

The advice needed relates to the the application of the PSR's and EMR's and their associated exemptions; and the extent to which a new business model constitutes regulated activity. if you are qualified to opine and supply advice on such matters then we would be interested to commission the work. Details of the business model will be disclosed in more detail during conversations.

We may seek to rely on this advice in any future discussion with the FCA and therefore you should be comfortable with that requirement.

Should we build a working relationship we may well commission further pieces of financial or legal advice.
