The most important part is moving the Database and change DNS in a way as minimum downtime and no data lose. Hi, A couple of things are important for migrating a Coldfusion site to another server. Are we using similar web server on these two servers? If yes, great. Secondly, would your future server be able to access the databases that your current coldfusion site depends on? If yes great. And if we need to update the data source (pointer) on your new server that would be fine as well. And last but not least, would the directory/file structure of your future web server be similar to what you have now if yes great.
