iOS App Web Wev Perfomace Issue

Hello there, Are we using the web view just for videos and some stuff here and there? We can use Wordpress APIs or we can even write our own php based APIs which can pull the data from the server and then show all the videos and related stuff. Doing this we can use the native video player which is more powerful and would consume very less memory compared to using video player inside safari inside a native app. Also if you could share the codebase then I can look into it. There could be background JavaScript code running which is slowing it down and we can cut it down. I have more than 7+ years of iOS experience and total 11+ years of experience in the IT industry. I can work on swift 2, swift 3, swift 4 and swift 4.2 and also objective C. Hoping to hear back from you soon. Thanks.
