We are looking for a SELF-MANAGED mobile developer to create a clone of Pinterest's share extension for the iPhone and iPad in Swift 2.X.
The share extension allows a user to select an image from a web page (or from their photo library) and share it via API. We will provide full documentation on how to access our API for sharing the selected image.
The extension must work on iOS 8.X and above. Like the Pinterest SE, if the user is not logged into our service (via OAuth 2) they should be asked to login.
As a share extension requires an app, you will need to provide your work as part of a sample app to prove that it works. We will provide you with access to a github repo to post your work, or you can send it via zip through Upwork.
The mobile dev we are looking for is a self-managed jack of all trades. They have created their own apps in entirety including front and back end. They are as skilled in UX design and mobile design principles as they are in backend development. Put simply - they are a true mobile app creator.
This job is an interview. It's a test of your ability to deliver on time, manage yourself, figure out and make decisions for yourself and show us you can exceed our expectations. If you can do that, we have more work - specifically the development of our entire mobile app. But everything starts here.
If you are interested, since direct links to apps you have created that demonstrate your front and backend skills. Also, do NOT apply for this job before you download Pinterest for the iPhone and iPad and try out their share extension to ensure you know how it works and can create a clone. We've been down this path before - if we hire you and find out that you do not understand the requirements or cannot self-manage yourself to create a solid clone, we will cancel the contract. Sorry to be so direct but it's for both our benefits.
