Hello I have a large experience in using of your hardware. I have made from scratch a custom library for GSM/SMS/GPRS communication for the SIM8**/sim900 - based boards. I also widely use the ESP8266 modules during the last year. Do you already have a server for your application installed - or the code for this part is also necessary?

This is a pretty complex project.. How much of it is done? Let us see if i understand it : 1. you want to send an SMS : STORE <phoneno> and it will save the phone # ? 2. you want to receive the gps reading , the the output of the CTSACN command (i.e. all visible towers?) 3. why do you want the MAC address? Specifically what do you want? The MAC as the unit as it moves from cell to cell?? 4. Activate a particular pin on SMS command - simply 5. goto sleep with the watchdog? so when the watchdog sends an interrupt, it should go to sleep? or it should sleep UNTIL the interrupt? 6. Save to mysql? you mean upload to a mysql server via ftp when wifi is available? or store in on board mysql? It is an interesting project, but needs some discussion. I would love to do this .
